Daily Good News 24: Car Accident Saves Man, and Celebrities Help Philippines

It’s time for another round of the good news. DGN is performing nicely. I can’t wait to see how far it goes once I’m done with it.

A car accident saved a man’s life. What?

A Grandfather of six says a car crash saved his life after hospital treatment led to the discovery of cancer – which was swiftly treated with a groundbreaking piece of kit.

Yeah, he didn’t know he had it. He said he didn’t have any symptoms. Obviously, a standard visit to the doctor is the ideal way to discover stuff. But, still, as the article says, he’s very thankful.

I talked about Charlie Sheen’s donation to helping the rebuilding efforts in the Philippines. There’s been other celebrities that have helped too. Here’s the list of stars:

  • Victoria and David Beckham
  • Pau Gasol
  • Rihanna
  • Vanessa Hudgens
  • Justin Bieber
  • Bianca Gonzales

Quite the group of folks there. The article talks about how each person has helped.

Never been a real football fan. Anyway, MSU took out Ohio State on the field and MSU fans/students took out a car. Well, one student decided to help raise $3,000 for repairs to the damaged car. He used Facebook because, well, FB ain’t all that bad, right? There’s a picture of the car in the link and it’s not good. In all honesty, the article does say replace the car. I agree. That car is gone.

That’s it for today. You can leave your tips in the jar which is also know as the comment feed. Go ahead, let me know what ya think of these stories. If not, I will find you, confront you, and probably do nothing.
