Another Wednesday Word. We’ll start with the video and then we’ll talk about it:
Good stuff, there. There’s a quote I’ve seen somewhere. Lord knows I don’t know the exact saying of it but I got the gist. A lot of times, when we quit, we don’t realize how close we are to finishing.
The father helping his son finish the race reminds me of Philippians 4:13. We can do all things through Christ who gives us strength. This includes running our race. We have the ultimate resource: God. He can help us with anything. On our own, we’re not going to be able to do much. God knows this and He’s made Himself constantly available.
We can feel like we’re not able to go on. And in that moment, we need to keep going. It’s easy to say we’re fine when we’re not going through. To me, if we’re fine, are we doing anything? Are we making progress? Or are we walking or even just standing in place? So, not only should we finish the race, but we need to sprint towards the line. When we’re making progress for the Kingdom of God, the enemy will notice and will try to slow you down. And that’s why we must keep going. The enemy is fine with you just standing and doing nothing. So keep going. You have the never ending stamina given by God. So, even if you think you can’t, you actually can.
